ARTIST STATEMENT

I am a deeply spiritual person and I believe in the mysteries of God, who is a source of my creative gift. In my works, I try to convey my innermost self that is about the essence of "love and peace". I want viewers to be captivated visually (through their eyes), thoughtfully (through their mind) and deeply (through their soul). My hope is that people will be able to meditate through my art and to be able to achieve some form of quiet serenity via the experience. I know that some of my creations show tension and struggle but in the end good, love and peace prevail.

I love challenges, puzzle solving, exploration... and it's all there when creating my work. It's these elements that make me who I am. Now years later, I'm continuing the learning process with every new piece. My body of painting has evolved over the years... from loose color interpretive representation to darker, black + white period that represented dramatic changes in my life to the new abstract + non-representational work of today. As my work was satisfied, I moved on to something else that promised more depth. Today, I remain totally challenged by abstract oil painting and I feel that everything that came before perhaps... was in preparation for the work I do now. It's been a gradual evolution, which makes me to wonder what will happen next. That curiosity of the unknown is both exciting + stimulating... its representative of life itself.

This truly has been and still is an amazing journey. With every new piece and with every new experience, my goal is to progress forward with fresh new ideas and exciting steps... to keep on evolving. It's very enriching to be able to work every single day in a profession that enables me explore my inner self, to express my imagination and maintain my own individuality. I hope you will enjoy my work... and as each day goes by... the personal experience of living with my art... will evoke + transcend some happiness, harmony and serenity into your own universe.
